My cousin Tasha and her daughter Jade came for a vist last week from Illinios. Her daughter Jade had been to Florida when she was a baby so it was a whole new experience for her. She is seven so I racked my brain for fun kid friendly stuff to do. We made our way to the beach with all the fun goodies we could take. Jade had her little stuffed horse with her named Ryan and before I knew it they were both in the ocean. Awhile later Tasha was telling me how she brought Ryan everywhere with her and refers to him as her brother. We laughed as she told me stories of her at stores with Jade telling people her little brother that is 3 months old was in the car and Tasha getting mean stares as she explains Ryan is a stuffed animal. As we left Jade told us that she didn't like the beach and neither did Ryan. Too much sand and she didn't like the salt water. So to the pool we went. She loved the pool. Next up was Busch Gardens. And if anyone who lives here or has been to Busch Gardens in the middle of summer they will tell you it's extreme. Eight hours later and ten bottles of water later, Jade was thrilled!!! We also went to the Mote Marine Aquarium. Jade was in heaven there. It's a wonderful place for everyone. They rescue and nurse all different types of animals and release them back in the wild.
So after many fun filled days and late nights talking and laughing they made their journey home. I was sad all day. Tasha and I grew up together and have been close our whole lives so it was hard to see them go. It was a wonderful visit with lots of laughs. Kids at her age say the craziest things.
